Ms. Maci Torres
Principal

Ms. Torres is dedicated to her role as the Principal of South Hancock Elementary School. Ms. Torres boasts of a rich background in the classroom teaching third and fifth grade students. Prior to assuming the position of Principal, she had the privilege of serving as Lead Teacher for S.H.E.  Her educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, both earned from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ms. Torres was granted the Administrator of the Year for Hancock County School District in the 2022-2023 school year.

Ms. Torres considers it an honor to lead South Hancock Elementary and the multitude of gifted teachers and students within its community. Her aspiration is to perpetuate a nurturing environment and positive school culture at S.H.E. that promotes both teaching and learning. Through these efforts, every individual student and teacher can unlock their full potential for growth. In her leisure time, you can frequently spot Ms. Torres cheering from the sidelines at sporting events in the school district.
